A puzzler
After repeated queries and replies here I have been connected to the
internet on my ThinkPad 770 via a PCMCIA Xircom combo modem/NIC. Only a few days ago I discovered that in the ThinkPad Configuration utility PCMCIA shows that it is turned off. Any suggestions why this still works? Jim L -- "Don't call it a crisis until you can't fix it," Obstructionist Party. |

What version number of the utility are you using? Versions before 3.55 apparently
had a bug that showed PCMCIA as disabled, judging by this IBM support document: Symptoms corrected by the latest ThinkPad Configuration Utility for Windows NT - ThinkPad 360, 380, 560, 760: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...id=MIGR-4FC37K -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP Shell/User, A+ http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm wrote in message ...
