Default Failure on display driver update

In Safe Mode Device Manager remove all devices listed under Display =
Adapters. Have a look in Monitors to be sure the correct one is listed, =
if not and there are more than one, remove them all as well. Reboot and =
Windows should find new devices and install.

I would suggest that if you have the install disk that came with your =
ATI adapter, do not let Windows install the driver it chooses, select to =
install from disk instead. Insert the disk and use the browse button to =
point to the directory where the drivers are on the disk.

Jeff, I tried this one more time just to make sure that I=20
wasn't doing something silly - but this is actually what=20
I was doing. And it does SOUND like installing the driver=20
is what windows is up to but I can't see a thing because=20
no input comes through to the monitor.

Some result with a different monitor.
