I recently installed win 98 over my old computer system
win95. Now the thing opens to a blank desktop with the
clouds and blue but nothing else except EXPLORER CAUSED
AN INVALID PAGE FAULT IN MODULE BROWSEUI.DLL (CLOSE OR
DETAILS). I've reinstalled the OS again to no avail. I've
altered the c:\windows\system.ini to start in the program
manager to REPAIR INTERNET OPTION and RESTORE PREVIOUS
WINDOWS CONFIGURATION in the microsoft internet explorer
5 and internet tools (which I could not do because this
was not selectable), edited the .ini file back to
explorer.exe but no luck. CAN ANYBODY HELP?
