can be dismissed merely by clicking Cancel, at which point the computer is
wide open. How can the password be made mandatory?

On a related note, what Registry setting is available to preclude her
username from being displayed? I presume a username is required in the
initial logon screen, or is access permitted also if the logon dialog
with no username is canceled?
