There are a number of ways of creating a bootable CD with details usually
part of the burning application in use. For example Nero has the option to
create a bootable CD-ROM and requires a source of bootimage data which can
be either a bootable logical drive (such as a bootable floppy placed in A
or an image file for which it provides a copy (DosBootImage.ima). On the
few occasions I've needed to create a bootable CD I've used Nero and one or
other of these two options.
Most methods start by using a bootable floppy however given the changes that
were introduced with Win Me it could be as simple as just copying io.sys and
command.com copy from your %windir%\command\ebd folder. Note io.sys MUST be
a copy of the file in the command\ebd folder, not that in the root of your
boot partition.
