Thanks, Gary, yes, I did fdisk and format c: and did not think about any
drivers being lost and I got this computer 7 yrs ago and I don't think I got
a USB driver disk with it.
I guess I have also lost my video card driver because I can only get 16
colors instead of 256 which is required for me to get online with that
computer through the modem. I just am really sorry that I reinstalled
the
OS because I cannot get that computer back online. Thank you very much
Well, you'll have to use some other machine to download the drivers you
need. The first thing to do is to see if Everest will run on the machine.

Download it on another system and burn it to a CD to move to your own
system. It will tell you what hardware you have you your machine. Once you
have that data, you can again use another machine to collect the drivers.
You're in for a bit of a long haul. Try not to get discouraged. We're here
to help you along the way. The first thing to deal with is the video drivers
(though I think you should be able to install the modem without the video
drivers--that part sounds strange.)

Yes, Gary, I have installed Everest from a CD onto my computer and what I meant to say about the video driver is that I was trying to get AOL free trial through my modem, just so I could get Microsoft updates and USB drivers and AOL wouldn't install because of only 16 colors instead of 256. I am trying to locate these drivers. I know the manufacturer of the USB one (Elpina), but I have to find out about the video card one now. Would this info be on the Everest report? Thank you all so much.
