If you did a "clean reinstall", if you first reformatted the drive before
installing, then yes, you lost the drivers. You need to obtain the drivers
for the card from the manufacturer. Or perhaps you still have the CD that
came with the card? You want to be sure to follow the installation
instructions carefully.

I just did a clean reinstall of Windows 98 SE on my custom built 7 yr ols
computer and it has an added on USB card with 2 USB ports and 2 round

ports
(one is for the mouse which works). Now, my USB's are not being

recognized.
The USB card is Elpina 9837. Did I wipe out the drivers when I did the
reinstall? I am new at learning about my computer as I have not really

used
it much since I bought it yrs. ago. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Gary, yes, I did fdisk and format c: and did not think about any drivers being lost and I got this computer 7 yrs ago and I don't think I got a USB driver disk with it.

I guess I have also lost my video card driver because I can only get 16
colors instead of 256 which is required for me to get online with that
computer through the modem. I just am really sorry that I reinstalled the
OS because I cannot get that computer back online. Thank you very much
