Default frozen mouse

Try borrowing another mouse and seeing if that works and try your present
mouse on another PC. This would help eliminate any possible hardware
problems.

Hi, My mouse is stuck and won't move. i'm not sure if this is the
correct board for this topic, but hope that someone can help.

I have tried the following without success.

run msconfig/selective startup- I cleared all boxes and rebooted, but
it was still the same, mouse was stuck.

I have also tried checking each box in turn with the same result.

I then decided to check the mouse status in device manager, but it
says that the device is working properly. I also tried updating the
drivers, but the best drivers are already loaded apparently.

However, under the resources tab, where it says resource type, there
is a message saying interupt request, and next to that,it says
setting 12. I have no idea what this means, or whether it is of help
but I thought i'd better mention it, just in case.

I would really appreciate any help you may be able to offer.
It may be a few days before I get to read any answers you post as I am
having to visit my local library to access the internet, but I will
post back with any results I have as soon as I can.

Thanks, Don.
