Right now my FireFox 2 does nothing so I suppose it's related to all
the above issues as in some unannounced requirement for a 350 MHz
minimum processor speed that I'll never find because the page won't
load for me.

If that's a serious sticking point, but you can still go to a web page to
download anything, try OperaUSB v10.63. Never mind all the browser-war views
that might result from this suggestion, do it anyway. It's efficient, runs on
W98, is compliant enough and new enough to properly handle eBay pages. Save
agoising over FireFox until you have some hardware that gives you more
choice. Right now it looks like you need tools that Houdini would have had
uses for. Self-contained tools that can run on rescue disks and USB sticks
are the way to go because they more likely run properly in tight situations,
they are easy to quit and remove when things get easier and you want other
tools.

I tried Opera first, it does nothing too. I need to download a plug
in that really doesn't plug into anything - if anyone can explain that
to me, I'll try to NOT laugh in your face while you do it. I can't
use software that just sits there and Opera 10.63 just sits there
forever. Since I have KernelEx installed correctly, I can only assume
it's the MMX issue all over again. It doesn't seem to run on my 98.
Nice try?
