Certain websites have been causing me progressively more issues when
using FF (2.0.0.20). I noted in another thread that someone was
running Opera 10.63 so I installed that, and configured it to
hopefully do my bidding.
Unfortunately, there are two areas where I cannot for the life of me
get it to replicate the functionality I have with FF:
1. When I go to log on to certain sites, FF offers a drop-down
selection of my logon usernames if I click in the empty username box.
Not just autocomplete (although it does that too) - a dropdown list.
Not Opera - I have to type in the full username each time.
In my older version (Opera 9.64), you can add some personal details in
the Tools - Preferences - Wand - Other tab. Maybe your version has
improved upon this?
Franc, there is Tools - Prefs - Forms in O-10 which permits
recording everything short of bloodgroup, but that isn't what I'm
seeking. See the reply to LG.
You can r-click the box and then Insert Personal or Insert Note, or
you can place your cursor inside the box and then hit the down arrow.
Opera autocompletes your selection.
BTW, I have found opera.general to be a very helpful newsgroup.
