X-Setup Pro is a free program that allows you to extensively tweak Windows.
It's been a couple of years since I used it, but it's easy to use. However,
I just installed X-Setup and I believe it will pinpoint the location of the
offensive wallpaper.

Download X-Setup here.

http://www.x-setup.net/

When you open X-Setup, choose Classic mode. Select Appearance, Desktop,
Wallpaper. On the right side of the screen, it should show you the
directory of the offensive wallpaper. You can then navigate to that
directory and remove it. Then use X-Setup to set the default Windows
wallpaper or the wallpaper of your choice.

Okay, guys,

I will try it again. Joe, I thought I was looking for bitmap files, not
system files so when I did not find the *.bmp file, I proceeded no
further.
I will start by getting the irfanview graphic program and proceed from
there.

Sorry about my frustration.

Lowell
