and look around for the "Maintainence Wizard" shortcut, its been so long since
my start menu was normal I don't know exactly where the shortcut is supposed
to live. the wizard is pretty simple to follow, both in setting up and running
the maintainence tasks

Try turning down the Graphics Acceleration setting (I

graphics). Try setting all the way to the left to see if

problem; if appears to fix slowly increase until the

One thing I found that also seemed to fix was to have a
DOS
(command prompt) window running in the background.
Didn't have to be
active or even doing anything.
