logow.sys and logos.sys are bitmap files, can be opened and edited in any
graphics program to alter your shutdown screen, the .sys extension is mainly
to fool people to not change it.

The association "None" displays the blank color screen chosen in start
settings control panel appearance desktop, check the settings of 'custom
colors' under the drop down for desktop colors, check also that color depth
settings on the settings page are set high enough
