partitions
My old hard drive crapped out, and I bought a new one
today. During fdisk, it says there are no partitions set up. When I try to setup a primary dos partition it says there is not enough space. What do I do? |

The disk might be partitioned with a partition type that FDISK doesn't
recognise. What information does FDISK provide about the existing partitionining and the drive size? You can use WIPE or ZAP at this site to eliminate everything from the drive so that FDISK will see a blank drive. http://www.chicorporation.com/support/IBM.html -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (DTS) "Aaron" wrote in message ... Also Make sure at the first page of Fdisk, when it asks
you to enable large disk support that you are hitting "Y". Without it you are limited to 2 GB with the fat32 file system -----Original Message----- The disk might be partitioned with a partition type that FDISK doesn't recognise.
