Please stick to one thread. Although you prefer not to "click all those
points" to see if you got a response, you are making it difficult for those
trying to assist you to keep track of what's been posted when you keep
starting new threads.

Unlike most people who post here, I and the MVP's who post solutions, access
this newsgroup through Outlook Express. We do not use the Web interface. I
routinely delete posts.

Now to the computer problem you are experiencing:

Reboot to Safe Mode. Right Click My Computer on the Desktop (Properties)
and open the Device Manager. Click the + sign next to Display Adapters and
Delete all the entries there and reboot.

If the New Hardware Wizard pops up, click Cancel and continue booting to
Windows.

Reinstall the video drivers you downloaded from the NEC website and then
reboot to normal Windows.

I then assume you have run a complete virus scan with the latest virus
checking definitions. Is this correct?

Download and run SpyBot - it's a bit more thorough than Ad Aware IMHO. It
also has an Immunize feature that you should activate.

You also might want to reinstall your mouse/touchpad drivers which can be
found he

Click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, then RIGHT click Sytem
Information. Send a System Information shortcut to your desktop (there are
a bunch of diagnostic utilities in it that you will find useful.)

Click the System Information shortcut, then click Tools. In the drop down
menu, click Internet Explorer Repair Tool. Then click the Repair Internet
Explorer Radio Button and follow the on-screen instructions.
