Belkin installtion troubles

Following an earlier post to 'Technet' I have again been in touch with Belkin
over an installation problem, they have said its a Windows problem, so
perhaps someone here can help.
I have been trying to install a Belkin Wireless G Notebook Network Card
(F5D7010 version 3) on an Acer Travelmate 212TXV running Windows ME the
installation appears to go fine (using latest driver from Belkin) when the
system restarts the icon appears in the system tray then vanishes, if I try
to open the application it comes up for a second then vanishes. The device
manager says the driver is not now installed for the device (though it
appeared to load fine). I've performed a clean install of Windows ME on the
machine, and a clean install with nothing else installed of the Belkin
software. Has anyone any suggestions (other than throwing the card in the
bin).
Cheers
Graeme
