DSL installation
Have attempted to install Verizon DSL. Am unable to open
to complete installation. Error message is " Either DUN does not exist or new DUN creation failed". Went through this with Verizon tech support; ununstalled DUN and reinstalled it, no luck. Verizon tech's conclusion; something in Win98se's registry is corrupted, and to contact MS. Rather not spend $35, if anyone has an idea. Help? |
DSL installation
If your Verizon is set up like my local Verizon, you really don't have
to install their software. As long as you have a working network adapter and TCP/IP set to obtain an IP address from your DSL modem you are good to go. Also, don't understand why they are trying to help you install DialUp Networking (DUN) if you are using DSL...DUN is used to establish a DialUp connection over an analog modem. Just a thought...
