SBC/Yahoo DSL down after Win98se upgrade. by dylan
I'm such a rusty fool. I upgraded a friend's PC from Win98 to Win98SE using the upgrade CD that came with the tower (it's a late-'90s Compaq) and since then, the computer hasn't been able to find the modem. With my own network, I've got screenshots and printouts of all my settings in the event...

Win98 PCMICA NIC for NEC Ready 440T? by SlickRCBD[_3_]
Somebody just gave me an OLD NEC Ready 440T laptop to use for some light word processing. The trouble is that it doesn't have a NIC card. Given the age of it, finding a PCMCIA Ethernet card, either wired or wireless that has compatible drivers for Windows 98 First Edition is difficult. Could...

Networking tutorial? by [email protected]
Is there perhaps a good tutorial hidden away somewhere on Win98se networking? For example how a browser would be instructed to use a particular network or how the bindings work? Thanks.
