WinME in the dust? by
webster72n
All indications are that WinME is not the subject of attacks anymore, since
support for it has been withdrawn, IOW it was a blessing for this to happen.
But that's just my personal opinion.
I am open for suggestions to the contrary.
As far as I am concerned, WinME will serve me for a long time to...

Noel by

I managed to have a brief conversation with Noel this afternoon, he is OK
still trying to get things sorted out and there's still the possibility of
him moving.
Didn't manage to speak for too long I didn't have enough credit on my
phone to prolong the conversation but he said to pass on his...

Recent subjects I brought up by
Shane
I've sent three posts this morning - a response to Job, an inserted oar to
Patc, and the response I promised Figgs (in which I now see I repeat quite a
lot and its not quite as incisive as I originally meant). The first two got
through, the last hasn't (I've reset the group twice). The last one...

Testing... by
Shane
....one two three.
Why do you always get people who complain about test posts and say there are
dedicated test groups? How does posting to a test group demonstrate whether
windowsme.general is working or not?

USB 2.0 by
Dapper Dan
Haven't had the need for USB 2.0 for our Win Me laptop until recently so had
never really paid much attention to it. Evidently we need USB 2.0 to have
the ability to charge an MP3 player. If I understand it correctly, for Win
98SE, one needs to buy software but for Win Me and later O/S's, the...

Heather
Copying this over from the spyware news group.
Mike.....is Foxit the one you are using?? I see a new version is out.
Think I will get rid of that bloated Adobe reader and use this one.
Cheers......Heather

OE6 and ME by
PA Bear
I was wondering if this might be the case so I've been watching this thread.
It sounds like someone reinstalled WinME without having first uninstalled
IE6, so do NOT attempt to reinstall/overinstall IE6! I'm crossposting this
reply to WinME General newsgroup. The experts there will be able to...

Alias/Ubuntu by

Hopefully the address is correct, Alias.
If I am not mistaken, a couple of weeks ago you asked for my notification
in this case and here it is:
My CD from "Ubuntu" has arrived and earlier as they projected, but as you
already had suggested.
Will have to decide the best way to install it on my...

WinME Default "Save As" Folder by
TLokrantz
I don't have WinME installed, so I'm unable to determine this by viewing the
folder structure...
If one "right-clicks" on an image - say on a website - and selects "Save
As"... What is the default folder in the WinME OS?
Thanks.
