Explorer folder tree won't stay collapsed by
shehaal
Hi there,
I seem to be having a problem trying to get the folder list on the LHS of
Explorer to remain collapsed. For example, if I expand Windows\System by
clicking on the + icon in the folder tree, then try to collapse it again by
clicking on the - icon, the folder re-expands. This seems to be...

Maybe something wrong with hard drive? by
Ed
My Compaq crashed a while back. Since all Compaq gives you is a Restore CD
and not a system disk, I feel a bit lost. I did the "chat" thing with their
"techs" (more like keyword FAQ retrievers!), and so far have had no luck.
The Restore process gets to the point of "Restore will now check...

Disable Background Compacting and frequently perform a manual compact of all

I know that if I desire to set up a dual boot with Win98 and WinXP that I
need to install Win98 first. Does this still apply if I use a third party

hide partitions from one another would overcome the problems created...
