My Windows Media Player 7.1 on 98 plays but no sound comes out. by

My Windows Media Player used to play fine, but something happened to it and
it does not have audio coming out of the speakers. My real player works fine
and other devices too, except some movies on the internet have no audio
playing.
Please somebody help!

Does it give this error no matter what disc you try in the drive?
Have you tried an audio CD in the drive....will it play?
Boot up with a startup floppy disk with CD-ROM support, note the drive letter it
assigns to the CD drive, and try doing a DIR...

HELP! Active Movie Player problem by

Everytime I try to run Media Player, ActiveMovie Player pops up in another
window and prevents any video from playing. I'm running Windows '98.
How do I disable "ActiveMovie Player" so this stops (its very
annoying)?

When I go to Cd Audio and copy a cd, the media player copies our voices not
the track on the cd it says it is copying? Our microphone says it is muted..
but it is picking up and recording all outside noise??

Microsoft Plus! file conversion problems by

Trying to convert an audio file (.wma at 128kbps) to an MP3 file using
Microsoft Plus!, but I always get an
"unrecognized codec" failure. The file's codec is Windows Media Audio 9.
What gives?

Under W98 SE, some sounds play, others don't. For instance, the Robotz sounds
play, but the Musica sounds don't. Other sounds in Sounds Properties either
play or not. For instance, Start Navigation plays, but not Empty Recycle Bin.
Also, Media Player 9 sometimes plays, sometimes doesn't.

Windows Media Player is not launching for movies by
June
Using IE ver 6 and everytime a select a link, Windows Media 10 is not
launching. There are no errors, it just shows a small box, it has the
player buttons (play, stop, pause, rr, ff etc) but the video does not
come up. I am able to play movies that are stored in my harddrive. WMP
also plays music...
