and now when I am booting up, it gives me four error messages
(demanding a reply) during the startup. It says that these files are

Win98 PCMICA NIC for NEC Ready 440T? by
SlickRCBD[_3_]
Somebody just gave me an OLD NEC Ready 440T laptop to use for some
light word processing. The trouble is that it doesn't have a NIC card.
Given the age of it, finding a PCMCIA Ethernet card, either wired or
wireless that has compatible drivers for Windows 98 First Edition is
difficult. Could...

NIC for 98SE - recommendations? by
[email protected]
We're looking to finally get DSL on our home computer (98SE, PCI 2.1).
I've done a lot of reading in this group about problems folks have had
installing NICs on 98SE, so I was wondering if anyone had
recommendations of NICs that install with minimal pain.
We're not running a network at home. Just...

Workgroup naming by
Lou Farraher
Hey everyone..
I had setup a small (4) group of systems together to use our T1 line..
I had reset their workgroup name and the old name still shows in the
network group.
Is there a way to get it removed as it then shows the other group (20)
of systems.
Thanks..
Lou

Change Win98se user name & password by
SeaMaid
When you install Win98se, you have to create a user name and password. This
is used to log onto Windows.
1. How to I change the user name?
2. How do I change the password?
There is also a computer name, share names, and password for networked
shares, but those do not need to be changed.
