I have an HP Pavilion running win98 and a Dell Dimension running XP home
edition. Both are connected via Linksys Ethernet Network.
I have no problem viewing or accessing files from the HP to the Dell (which
is designate as the master), on the HP I can see the Dell on the network
along with the HP....

Entire Network Password for MS Networking.

that a named domain such as www.myhost.com will be mapped

Am I missing something? I have set up a clean install of Windows 98 with a
3C905TX NIC. Everything went fine but when I try to install a default
gateway, it shows up in network properties but not in winipcfg or ipconfig.
Then at the command prompt a ping of yahoo.com shows the DNS address...
