Windows ME on Athlon 64?

Does anyone know if Windows ME can be installed and setup on an Athlon 64?

I have tried several times the past few days and all I get is a BSOD
with a "Windows Protection Error" and no other information.

I really have to ask why you should want to use an outdated operating system
on a PC using an Athlon 64?

How much memory do you have installed? This could be the problem as you
cannot install Win Me on a system with more than 512MB although once the
operating system is installed memory can be increased to up to 2GB subject to
vcache being limited to 512000.
