formatting win 98

I formated my computer then something came up and
whatever i typed in it said invalid code. So I restarted
my computer and it was done formatting but now it wont
start up, It says insert disk and i tried the boot disk,
but it wont work, and I tried the Win 98 Start Up CD and
Windows XP PRO. and they wont work either. Does anybody
know how to install Windows XP Pro.? Because I can't
startup my computer to install it, so I need to install
it somehow from the beginning so the computer can load it
because it doesnt have anything installed so it cant load
anything. Does anybody know what to do please help me.

You have to set the first boot device to CDRom in the bios settings.

Get a utility to create a new boot floppy at
www.bootdisk.com

Then access your BIOS setup routine and make sure the floppy disk drive is
set as the first boot device. Insert the floppy you created with the
bootdisk utility, and re-boot.
