I have just installed a Microsoft Internet Keyboard and a
Language Icon appears on the Taskbar near the clock. I
want to remove it. I have gone into Keyboard Properties,
Language Tab, To the "Enable Indicator On Taskbar" and
clicked to remove (removed tick), clicked apply, and then
OK. The ICON doesn't go away. On opening the Keyboard
Properties it show the tick in "Enable Indicator On
Taskbar" is back again. It keeps coming back. I am also
having problems with the taskbar showing blank
applications which are not there. I used Dr Watson and it
said "If task bar is acting strangley, try exiting
Internat"
I did this by Ctrl/Alt/Del, and it removed the icon until
I reboot and it is all back again.
What is the problem, can anyone help me to resolve this
problem? Thankyou. Peter

Internat.exe is the Keyboard Language Indicator Applet for Windows.
Go to Control Panel> Keyboard> Language tab, un-check the box for "enable indicator
on taskbar", and click OK.

Was there more than one language listed on the Language tab?
You may have installed the additional support to read Japanese or Chinese fonts when
you downloaded your version of Internet Explorer.

If you do not need to read these fonts, after un-checking the box in Control
Panel>Keyboards, uninstall the additional language support....it should be listed in
Control Panel> Add\Remove Programs.

At least on other person has your problem.....see here:
