Hello, after adding Rambus memory to my system it became
completely unstable. The bios sees all 768MB. And All
memory has been throughly tested with Memtest and
Memtest86. In a variety of configurations
(512MB,128MB,and 768MB). No errors reported, no problems.

So once I go beyond the 512MB/640MB barrier the system
becomes unstable. I read in several posts on MS website.
There they talked about problems exceeding 512MB, although
they also state that ME supports up to 1GB of RAM??

As for what happens: When I boot up and arrive at the
login screen, the resolution has reverted back to 640x480
and is in almost all grey (instead of blue). When I log
in or cancel I am greeted with display errors. This
prompts me for a reboot, which just creates a continual
loop of rebooting with no resolution. The OS is extremely
unstable crashes et cetera. Doesn't allow any adjustment
of the display.

I added MaxPhysPage=30000 in C:/Windows/system.ini [386Enh]
But this did not help!

When I take out the (2x128)and go back to 512MB all my
settings revert back to normal.

Is there anyway for me to correct this and still be able
to use all 768MB for games/video editing with Windows ME,
or do I need to goto XP/XP pro?
Hope some of you can help please feel free to email me.
Thank you

You added the wrong stuff.

It's not MaxPhysPage you need as it is only used when RAM is greater than
1Gb. Instead, edit system.ini as follows:
[VCACHE]
MaxFileCache=524288
