computer locking up

When I install my hp1210 all in one on the USB it works
fine, But my computer is always locking up. If I unhook
the USB cable at the computer, then computer runs fine.
Pain in the you know where, Every time I need to print I
have to shut down and reconnec> the computer will work
fine for any were from 10-60 minutes then starts hanging
agian. I have gone to HP to get newer Drivers still
doesn't help.
