Reinstall Windows ME over Windows ME

Hi,

I'm having a lot of problems with my computer constantly
hanging. I'm still not sure if it is a software/driver
compatibility issue or a Windows hardware issue. I
understand that it could even be a heat/fan issue (i.e.
computer turns off itself to keep from blowing itself up -
smile). I haven't done anything different except to
install a new network/wireless.

Any advice? If I slip or reinstall windows ME overtop of
itself, will it repair it (if it is broken) or will it
delete everything?

Reinstall of ME over ME will 'fix' it - not delete everything.
