Installing High Speed adapter

How can I re-install a high speed adapter, It appears
that it was not included with the system

What "high speed adapter"? Adapter for what? A network card? Posting make
and model number would be helpful if you are to get help. Have you checked
the manufacturer's web site for suitable Win Me drivers?
