Recently did Windows ME Automated update that added some
ASP"something" to my desktop. Now, NO mouse will work.
Did unistalls/ reinstalls, scandisk, PS/2 mouse install,
USB,optical. No luck. Could not run registry diagnostic
without a mouse. Any ideas? I'm guessing an INI issue?

Thanks!

What do you consider to be a registry diagnostic?

Reboot to Safe Mode
Open Device Manager
Remove ALL Mouse devices
Reboot to Normal Mode - Windows will reinstall required drivers.

See if that helps

(BTW - AFAIK, there's not 'automated update' from MS that would install ASP
anything to the desktop - what exactly are you seeing?)
