Hi all.
Problem with the mouse, it will just not show. Using a
PS2 mouse Windows reports vmouse.vxd could not be loaded,
using a USB mouse Windows reports a problem with the HID
device.
In safe mode Mouse works just dandy, USB port works fine
with memorystick and other USB devices.
Re-installed ME over the old one - no change - no mouse
Any Ideas what to do ? Something in the registry gone
weird ?

Not necessarily a good idea, but let's wait and see what other problems that
may result <g>

Very likely now - see above.
However, back to your mouse issue. As you've 're-installed', it's unlikely
that System Restore will be working, so you can't go back to when the mouse
was working.
So, boot into Safe Mode again and in Device Manager, 'Remove' any/all
Pointing Devices (Mouse) shown.
Re-boot and let WinMe re-detect and install your PS2 mouse.
Do the same for your USB mouse - although you *may* have to 'Remove' all USB
(HID) devices to achieve this.
