I'm told that in BIOS there is this option that I cannot found " Plug'n'
Play OS installed ".
I should Set this option to No so that the BIOS will initialize any plug'n'
play devices.
Why cannot find this option ? Is my Bios old ( my PC has three years) ?
Many thanks,regards Lando.

May be the menu is changed in my Bios.
I see in PnP/PCI Configuration menu the option "Reset Configuration Data "
that is Disabled and this means that Bios a not OS works on plug'n'play
devices.
It is as (may be the old) " Plug'n'Play OS installed " set to NO.
Correct ?

"Reset Configuration Data" will return the BIOS to it's default settings.

If you can find *any* reference to Plug and Play, that's probably the
one you're looking for. If you can't find one then I wouldn't worry
about it.

What problems are you experiencing that you have to play with the BIOS ?

In that menu there is also "Resource Controlled By " >>>> if AUTO is set
BIOS autocontrols also PnP device...
This setting is requested by Linux Mandrake installation.......
Many thanks.

That's the one. If you want it to be the same as "Plug and Play OS = No"
then set it to AUTO.
