I am trying to fix a friends computer. She previously did not have any sort
of anti-virus. I installed Nortons, have whenever the ether cable is
plugged into the computer it comes up with an error msg and shuts down the
computer.
THe error msg reads something about the NT authoirty System, a file at
C://Windsows/system32/lsass.exe
When the computer rebutes, it says that an error occured by the LSA shell.
I have no idea what the problem is. And i dont have the disk for Windows
XP.
If anyone has any suggestions or anything i would appreciate it VERY
much.
Thanks JEssica

You're posting to the wrong newsgroup!
Your friend has the Sasser worm - and Windows XP
Look here for a fix for it.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=76c6de7e-1b6b-4fc3-90d4-9fa42d14cc17&DisplayLang=en

for further help, you really need to go to a Windows XP newsgroup -
microsoft.public.windowsxp.newusers
would probably be a good place to start
