I have Windows ME. I recently downloaded MediaPlayer 9.0
based on the upgrade recommendation from Microsoft. Well,
guess what? It don't work. Surprise, surprise!

When I try to open it it tells me that there is an
internal application error. When I go to a website to
view a movie i t just sits there and then times out the
connection. Can anyone please help?

Either try reinstalling WMP9 or alternatively use system restore to roll your
PC back to the state it was in before you installed WMP9.

This error is often generated by the incorrect DMA mode of the CD player -
look here
http://www.nwlink.com/~zachd/pss/pss.html#usedma
The rest of the site is useful too!<g>
