Hi there. Restored my system with rescue disks (don't
ask) and had more ram and new video card putin ,then
downloaded the latest win updates. Then noticed my
desktop did not fit to the edges of the screen, there was
a black strip all the way around the edge. So right
clicked desktop, went to properties, settings and adjusted
the screen area, now my display fits to the edge of my
monitor but the pop up dialogue boxes, tool bars, icons
etc are really miniture. Tried more and less screen area,
but it seems to shift from one extreme to the other with
no in-between. Any ideas as the size is toooo small. PS
have managed to get larger icons and some toolbars a bit
larger, but by no means all 100%. Thanks in anticipation.

WinME is optimized for 800x600; I use 1600x1200 so I've had to do that
alot, too... other places to look are under the 'Appearance' tab (adjust
the windows border sizes and fonts) and in Settings/Advanced/General
(adjust the font size).

You might want to (re)install your videocard drivers.
