icons

my icons are doubled up on top of each other. it looks like my Modem Test icon picture is somehow attached to the other icon pictures. if i click on a icon picture it brings up the porgram with no problems. i have already done a system restore. so if anyone could help me that would be great.

First - make sure that you have your Folder Options set so that you can view
System files and folders, and Hidden Files.
Then - Open Windows Explorer and go to c:\Windows - look there for the file
'ShellIconCache'.
DELETE IT
reboot, and windows will rebuild the file.

If that doesn't work, then you'll need to increase the size of the cache -
download and install the IconCache Fix from
http://www.aumha.org/reg1.htm

<right-click> on an empty area of the Desktop, choose ArrangeIcons and
pick how you want them to show up.
