When I try to access INTERNET TOOLS, it tells me I don't
have access, check with my administrator. Um, I'm the
administrator (home PC).
Also, I'm not able to intall updates. States to restart,
which I do and it still doesn't install.
Thanks

On the first part of your posted:When I try to access
INTERNET TOOLS, it tells me I don't

Was this machine given to you or did someone custom your
administrator priviages? check into someone that might
have a password or key-stroke that may give you full
access, or reinstall.
The Second Part Of Your Issue:What updates are you
referring too "windows update" or some software?

Note 1
- there is NO administrator in Win ME (as there is none in any other Win9x
OS)

Note 2
reinstalling is NEVER the answer to this type of problem!!

Reboot to Safe Mode and run CWShredder - to remove variant of the
CoolWebSearch hijacker.

Use CWShredder, the removal tool:
http://www.merijn.org/files/cwshredder.zip
http://www.merijn.org/files/CWShredder.exe
http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads/tools/CWShredder.exe
http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip

See if that helps, and post back with the results
