I'm running ME on a Dell. I switched from cable to AT&T
dialup. I'm getting a connection, but it says "cannot
display page". AT&T tech support said I need to ask
Microsoft.

The AT&T guy walked me through all of the possible
problems (i.e., tested modem with hyperterminal, etc.,)
and came to the conclusion that it was a microsoft
problem. Help please...-OsuzyQ

No idea.... (don't lose hope, eventually someone who knows what they're
talking about will jump in).

Only thing I can think of is InternetExplorer is still looking for the
cable connection.

Was your old connection through a network interface or the USB port?

Is your new connection through a telephony modem or is it DSL of some
kind (and is that USB or network card based)

you may have spyware
Such errors are often caused by spyware - download AdAware from
www.lavasoftusa.com, install, update, and run it to remove spyware, adware,
and other such nasties from your system.

also run the LSPFix from here
