View Full Version : Regedit won't run

My pc was infected by the bugbear (& other) virus and coolweb
spyware. It is now clean and antivirus fully updated. Since then,
I cannot run 'regedit' (error = registry editing disabled on this
machine), nor can I run updates (error = Administrators only). This
is a standalone w98se box with no defined user accounts, so no
system policies.

This is obviously the result of the virus(es), so can anyone suggest
a fix/workaround?
