I am trying to get broadband through NTL cable, but
problem with my computer is not assigning IP address. I
tried to follow this until I got to ICsharing which was
not in the Services folder. Is there anyway I can get my
computer to assign me an IP address via DHCP or some
download for this ICSharing section I am missing, any help
would be appreciated.
To resolve this issue:
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit.exe in the
Open box, and then click OK.
2. Locate and click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\ICShar
ing\Settings\General
3. Click the EnableDHCP value in the right pane.
4. On the Edit menu, click Modify. In the Value data
box, type 1, and then click OK.
Note that you can turn DHCP off by changing the data value
to 0 (zero).
5. On the Registry menu, click Exit.
