Outlook express password

I have never used a password in the past in Outlook
express. Now I am being asked for one when I attempt to
receive mail. I have tried my Windows password *.pwl but
this doesn't work.
Any ideas?

The required password is that for your mail account. You will have entered
this when you first set up Outlook Express but it may for some reason have
become corrupted, alternatively you or your ISP may have changed it for some
reason.
