Here is the case,

I've two computers using Windows ME on both; from the
first computer which has the ADSL cable modem attached and
it is sharing the internet, I can browse every site I
want, but from the second computer I can only browse some
sites. I've made a fresh installation on both computers
and only the modem drivers were installed (on 1st
computer), in order to discard any problem with firewalls,
antivirus, and so on. Also I tried changing all the
network hardware, I mean NICs and Hub, but I got the same
problem, I can surf what ever I want from the first but
only some websites from second. I realized that sites
like www.symantec.com, www.cai.com, www.microsoft.com can
not be browsed from second computer, but websites like
namco.com sega.com nintendo.com can be browsed without any
problem from 2nd computer. As I Told you on both
computers was made a fresh installatiion of WIN ME without
any other software only adsl modem drivers on 1st computer.

Here is even a more weird thing, I've a third computer but
it has WinXP Pro installed and also is sharing the
internet (ICS), of course the first computer is left
turned off, in this case the second computer can surf the
websites that previously It could not, I mean using a Win
ME Computer as the internet server.

Does any one have any idea whats going on?

You may have a virus/spyware hijack

download the Stinger from here and run it to make sure that A-V-disabling
viruses are not present on your PC
http://download.nai.com/products/mcafee-avert/stinger.exe

- update your virus scanner and run a full system scan of all files.

Reboot to Safe Mode and run CWShredder - to remove variants of the
CoolWebSearch hijacker.
http://www.merijn.org/cwschronicles.html

Use CWShredder, the removal tool:
http://www.merijn.org/files/cwshredder.zip
http://www.merijn.org/files/CWShredder.exe
http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads/tools/CWShredder.exe
http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip

Try BHODemon - from http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads/bhod/

Download AdAware from www.lavasoftusa.com, install, update, and run it to
remove spyware, adware,
and other such nasties from your system.

(thanks to Graham Womack for the following)
Do all this in Safe Mode.......
Make a Restore Point - just in case it gets worse.
Using Regedit, search for 'Safeguard'. Make a note of the dll name (if
there's an entry at all).
Run BHODemon. Look for the same dll name The 'Details' key should give you
more information about when the entries were loaded. Disable the registry
entry.
Search your hard drive for the dll file (should be in Windows\System).
Rename it and a similar named lib file - change the extensions.
Reboot, cross your fingers and try 'My Computer'

HTH
