High Speed Adapter

When I tried to install a High speed adapter it was not
available, possibly it was left out when I purchased the
operating system, it was included with my PC.
Please advise

What "high speed adapter"? Adapter for what? A network card? Posting make
and model number would be helpful if you are to get help. Have you checked
the manufacturer's web site for suitable Win Me drivers?
