View Full Version : Uninvited search engine advertising on my toolbar

Somehow my toolbar (specifically the area underneath my
address window) has been infected with some random search
engine's advertising. I tried using AD-AWARE and Spy-Bot
to remove it but it won't go away. How can I get rid of
this?

Reboot to Safe Mode and run CWShredder - to remove what is almost certainly
a variant of the CoolWebSearch hijacker.

Use CWShredder, the removal tool:

Thanks Noel. I ended up using Hijack This to remove it.
