winsock failed to initialize

I would like to know how to restore the winsock. The
computer wouldn't boot into Windows so I reinstalled
Windows Millennium. After this it wouldn't find any DNS
servers.When trying to check my IP address I recieved this
error "Winsock Failed to Initialize". Please help.

you may have spyware
Such errors are often caused by spyware - download AdAware from
www.lavasoftusa.com, install, update, and run it to remove spyware, adware,
and other such nasties from your system.
