Using phone from computer

Hi all,
i have a program(red box organiser) which i can
dial out frm my computer. The problem i have is i am not
able to speak to the person when connected as the mic on
my monitor does not seem to work. How can i find out/test
if this is working?, and how can i set my computer up to
speak with someone by phone?, thanks, Tom.

Tom,

You might check to see if your Mic "Volume" Control is turned up.
Double click on the Speaker Symbol on your taskbar (lower right corner =
of your screen) when viewing your start-up screen.
Find the *Microphone* and move the slider all the way up.
Might as well turn up the *Telephone* control while you are there.
