I just got off the phone with Dell to fix a problem and
now each time I shut down the computer and re-boot I get a
pop up box that says, "you are using the selective startup
for troubleshooting your system". How do I eliminate this
box from appearing on my desk top when I turn on the
computet?????

put a check in the option box on the window - assuming you want to retain
the changes that Dell made to your system.
