Hi,

I have a Windows ME startup boot disk but when I use it my system cannot
find the CD-ROM drives.

I have a DVD rewritable and CD-ROM drive and a CD rewriteable CD-ROM drive
and they both work fine.

I use the option to boot with CD-ROM support but it says that it cannot find
any CD-ROM drive. I made a new boot disk and it is the same.

Thanks for any help,

Frank

The CD ROM and/or DVD decices must also be correctly identified in the BIOS
for the ME boot disk to identify them in real-mode DOS.

How are the CD/DVD drives connected?
AFAIK, the boot disk drivers won't see external CD/DVD drives.

Try downloading disk image from www.bootdisk.com - the OEM one for Win ME.
Use that to create a new boot disk, and see if that works any better.
