Is this a laptop where you've connected an external monitor? If so what
happens if you disconnect the external monitor?

Do you have a video card that allows two monitors to be connected, if so then
you have the monitor connected to the wrong (secondary) output.

Alternatively do you have two display adapters in which case you need to go
into the mother board BIOS (hardware configuration) and either disable the
adapter you're not using or set the order of the cards to initialize the one
you're using first. See your system manual for details.

MY COMPUTER HAS A PICTURE OF WHERE TO CONNECT THE MONITOR
IT DOES HAVE ANOTHER CONECTION BUT THE PROBLEM I HAVE IS
THAT IT WILL NOT LET ME GO ANYWHERE IT STAYS AT THIS
SCREEN I TRIED USING THE RECOVERY CD BUT IT DOES NOT DO
ANYTHING IF I HIT F8 AS IT IS BOOTING UP IT DOES NOT EVEN
DISPLAY THESE MESSAGES SHOULD I TRY CONNECTING THE
MONITOR TO THE OTHER CONNECTION
